Hog Roasts

As hog roast caterers, we dont rush cooking our hog roasts, and cook them slowly to perfection to ensure each hog roast is succulent and tender, meat that simply falls off the bone with crisp golden crackling.  Hog roasts are a great informal way to indulge guests for any occasion.  Captivate your guests with delicious aromas and visually amaze them with a whole crisp hog roast. Our ovens have a large glass viewing panel allowing guests to see the hog roast before its served to your guests like a buffet. Our traditional CE approved hog roast ovens lead to incredibly tender and delicious results and are a spectacular way to cater for your guests that will keep them talking about your event for years to come.  Apart from hog roasts we can roast many other meats and game can also be cooked, see menu 5 below for this option or we can roast an entire lamb.  For wedding catering, birthdays, christenings or garden parties these are all great options, creating both a talking point for guests and a centre piece to any party or occasion all completely mess free and hassle free.

Being hog roast caterers we ensure our hog roasts are 'happy' outdoor reared pigs locally sourced in Yorkshire, our team of hog roast caterers can serve your hog roast inside or outside, as our hog roast ovens don’t spill or spit fat and they don’t emit lots of smoke. They will fit through most doors and gates (min of 34" wide) so you can have your hog roast virtually anywhere you like.  For vegetarians we can provide some nice alternatives just for them, please email us for these vegetarian options.  For hog roasts we can supply wholegrain or brown bread buns as an alternative to white buns for your guests, please let us know your requirements when booking.

Menu 1 - The Hog Roast

 Menu 3 - The Hog Roast Buffet

Menu 4 - Spit Roast Beef
Spit roasted whole side of Beef
 with 5" soft white baps
with horse radish and mustard
(*Salads can be added to this menu)

Additional Information
On arrival our team of hog roast caterers will setup the hog roast oven as seen in the picture above, along with a gazebo-(if required) and trestle tables with white linen table cloths and prepare the tables for service.  Your hog roast or spit roast is carved and served from the special oven/machine that is made for exceptional presentation of your hog roast or spit roast.  Alternatively,  our team of hog roast caterers can if required serve your hog roast from a special stainless steel serving tray on a trestle table which gives a very impressive presentation of your hog roast. 

 

Salads if booked are all served buffet style allowing guests to help themselves. Once service is complete our staff will clear our rubbish away from tables and as discretely as possible clear away the equipment and tables used.

All we require on the day is; 1. Sufficient light and shelter for service to be carried out. 2. Dishes for any leftovers, if wanted.

Service Times

Service is based roughly around a 1 - 2 hours of service from your serve time depending on number of guests we usually find this is ample time to serve everyone and for seconds too, whilst  complying to the EHO guidelines.  Extended service times are fine and must be pre-arranged.
